I take the bananas and apples all the time. And I see people leave with coffee as well. If they didn't want people to have a to-go cup of coffee, why stock paper Starbucks cups in addition to real mugs.

I'm sure there's more to the original story, but this sounds silly.

Wonder what that agent would have done with the passenger I saw pull out Rubbermaid containers and start filling them up with food. (Oh yes he had a DM cowbell too)

I saw a Sky Club employee take some to go boxes of food home last night so it goes both ways.

To-go coffee might actually be more understandable (not that I have any plans to stop taking my plain black coffee to-go with me in the mornings), since there's no way to police whether the coffee has been spiked with something from the bar. But a banana? When Delta has even created "grab-and-go" stations at Sky Clubs? What kind of absurdity is it to report someone over a banana, and then confiscate/throw away the banana?

I mean, back before the Race to the Bottom(tm) they used to have grab-and-go SkyDeli in the jetway immediately before boarding--I remember it being the most common out of PVD and RSW.

I am just waiting for Delta to "pilot" the elimination of bananas from the Skyclubs.

And it was absolutely disgusting. Those carts still haunt me. No need to go back to SkyDeli.

Guess I'll bring some ship's biscuit/hardtack on board, with enough to share (they are quite popular up in Newfoundland)

I hope they don’t remove the paper cups. How will I take my wine to go?

Well in the announcement they’ll say that they will replace them with roaming bananas instead of keeping them at a dedicated counter.
