Tier points on LHR-TLV with technical stop in LCA

Will the Tier point earnings on LHR-TLV now be treated as LHR-LCA, LCA-TLV or just as LHR-TLV due to the technical stop in LCA to change crews?

It'll post as TLV-LHR like the other flights with operational stops such as LHR-SYD.

FYI booked for May with pit stop at LCA, for July with direct flight non-stop ( although it might change)

Actually i didnt want to double dip, just worried i would get LESS tier points if its treated as separate flights. LHR-TLV in Business class is 140 tier points, while LHR-LCA, LCA-TLV is 120 tier points (80 + 40) in business class.

It's 140TP for now, but will change to 80TP next year - that was announced at the same time as the resumption via LCA was announced.

Wait a minute - BA are now operating a five hour flight on a shorthaul aircraft with a technical stop? And people are still happily booking? No wonder IAG is so profitable…

Not as bad as other airlines operating 7:30-8 hour flights on 737 MAX

As if the destination itself isn't unappealing enough right now...

Been three times since October to volunteer, although understandably war has an effect, it's still an appealing place.

My view isn't a political one, it's just that from an average neutral perspective, it might not be top of the list right now. BA choosing to make it SH and add in a technical stop really does put the cherry on that cake.

To be quite honest, if you were actually there, especially in Central Israel, you really wouldn't know a war was going on in the south.

That's rather my point though - if you have a need to go then you'll go. But from a neutral or tourist perspective "you probably won't notice the war" isn't exactly a catchy draw...

But I realise this risks going OMNI, so let's focus on what an awful flight BA have made it, in isolation
