300 point short of PPS-Solitaire

Hello

thisbis my first full year of PPS membership, and will be just ~ 325 points short of accumulating 50,000 points to qualify for PPS Solitaire
Do you think they will give me Solitaire status if I ask them ? I already have about 10 more business class tickets purchased for the next 10 months

Does anyone have experience with this ?

I don't know about that, but if your membership year ends at the end of March you could earn the PPS value through KrisShop - see KrisFlyer 25th anniversary specials

Well, if you have no other trips planned in SQ J/F that give you the push over the finish line then the KrisShop (dare I say that) is an option. There are hardly any SQ J fares under 1,000S$ either, maybe some promo fares to Phuket or so. BKK, CGK usually always over 1K and even KUL is there.

With KrisShop you could buy some useful items or such that you may over time buy anyways (not necessarily via KrisShop of course) so buying it there is not a loss entirely even though selection and pricing can be meh versus taking an unwanted trip. YMMV.

They can extend your qualification period a little bit if you have any flights coming up. They wont give you free PPS value for your first qualification. Krisshop makes a lot sense.

ok. Thanks for the info

My qualification period ends on Feb 29th, and I have another India-USA flight on March 13/14th

That will easily put me over the threshold

i will consider Krishop also. Thanks

You need to speak to SQ to get their blessing before end of March. Use PPS Connect to speak to more senior staff and explain what you have in mind and ask them to raise this internally.

Yes, I have done that. They asked me to email KF_Contact. I have done that and they have escalated it up further, I was told

Hopefully they will let me know something soon.

And my requalification period ends 29th Feb.

I have provided them with 10-11 R/T India-US reservations. My next flights after the qualification period ends is on March 13/14th 2024, which will easily put me over the PPS Solitaire threshold.

Thank you for the advice.

BKK-SIN can usually be done for under 500 one way in J. So a quick jaunt to BKK for a night of dinner and drinks and back will do the trick.

True (there is still the return part, even a budget carrier will cost some $$$, anyways). If OP is based in SIN that may be an option. I think OP is based either in US or India though and just connecting through SIN so most likely not that easily (and cheaply) done. His best option (least hassle / cost) would still be what SMK77 recommended and what the OP kicked off already with SQ, to get an extension on TPP qualification period, e.g. by 1 month or so. Fingers crossed.

Yes, I am based in the US and make frequent trips to India. So the option of making quicks trips from Singapore isn't possible for me.

Thank you, everyone.

Update: I exceeded Solitaire spend requirements in March (13th Month), and I was upgraded to Solitaire.

Thanks for the advise and help.

SQ is usually pretty flexible in extending the qualification period if you have ticketed bookings that cover the shortfall in the next month. Good to hear positive outcome.

Similar issue over here even if I might be late. Quick explanation, I am a 1year PPS Club member and I am short 6000 points (qualification ending on the 30th of April). My next flight is on the 2nd of May in First Class to Paris, so I will get enough PPS Points to qualify.

I have already called the PPS team via WhatsApp and they told me they will contact me within 5 business days... I really hope they will be able to extend it. I also need to do it separately for my mother as we are having the same qualification issue.

Did anyone else other than CommittedLurker get to extend his qualification period as a recent PPS Member due to being short in points by a few days/weeks?
Thank you
