CA must be weakening, more promos on the heels of 50% EQM bonus:

This feels like a devalue for traditionally earned MVP/G.
If AS held some J until Gate Control for flights, I would care less; but when the UG processor exhausts all J after T-24, Same Day Changes become more burdensome.

If AS keeps this up, they need to create anteater status... "one status to rule them all"

Yep, definitely weakening in CA.. I mean, the city pairs from each CA airport are basically the only places you can fly without a stop in SEA at this point (somewhat exaggerated, but not even that much), so flying organically to make status does become a little tricky.. Anyhow, will try to get back up to Gold thru this I guess if fares are good enough, as I'm dropping to MVP for the first time in 7ish years.

So it is basically a 2x EQM promo for 3 months, with a cap on 8 flights, and doesn't count toward 2024 EQM qualification. Hardly a "the sky is falling and stealing our status" promo.
I trust the ranks of CA elites are projected to be down. I'll be a lowly MVPG next year. I wonder what carrots might come the way of the mighty 75Ks who have fallen down to the partially-washed masses of the MVPG ranks. I also wonder if AS ever surveys if we are flying on current or former AS routes and on what airlines. I just took a peek at my 2022 DL account and find 3 one way transcons on DL (paid front cabin) and a RT SFO/YVR, where AS pricing was crazy, even in Y, and included a Q400 on a YVR segment, which would have required bag checking. Instead, DL and WS got the business.
Probably a smart promo that isn't going to affect most PNW flyers.

How do I never get targeted offers? Never received email for concert tickets, never received email for flyer forum, never received email for fast track to status although I live in CA...
