Sofia Aspire lounge
Is relocated to the now former Preslav lounge. Bad news for old school smokers, only iqos and electronic cigarretes allowed in the smoking room 😀 Good news much more spacious and some mandatory but missing from the previous location facilities are now available inside

There is just one now, former Pliska I think (the one with green furnitures, which were removed, and smoking area) called now Aspire. Space previosuly occupied by Aspire in the departure area is empty.

Arrived around 8 p.m. this evening with both soup tureens empty. As I can only eat soft foods for now I asked if there was more soup on the way and was told no, that's it for the day which two hours before closing isn't great given how limited the food selection is..

I’ve noticed this lounge is closing on 28th February. Anyone know what the star alliance offering will be after this?

A new Primeclass lounge will be opening in March on the level above the gates - it will have a terrace and supposedly will be way better. We still dont have an opening date, probably sometime around end of March.

Here is news from the airport website (but in Bulgarian and without much details) - https://www.sofiaairport.bg/bg/blog/...sofiya-ot-2026
Yes, as T1 and T2 are separate buildings (it takes around 10 minutes by taxi/shuttle to move between) and T1 is used mainly by W6.

It's cool to findout your home lounge is closing from FT, thanks! Last time time I visited was two weeks ago and nothing was posted, I will plan to spend my time at the gate mid of March 😁
Fun question, how many Euronet ATMs can you spot on arrival at SOF T2 before exiting the final door (I suppose they have extra fees from the outburst I see around Europe)?

At my Home airport, MAN Aspire is just awful & BHX also, LHG just contract the cheapest, no thought goes into value for money or quality

ATMs can have shocking fees, now Bulgaria has the pax should be more savvy

Surely you will not miss Aspire ?
As for Euronet, check youtube Honest Guide's videos. I am always advising fellow pax visiting for the first time to just exit and use the 2 normal ATMs on the right (which have two Euronets next to them). You sparkled my curiosity to sacrifice my debit card and check what the fees may be 😁

Few months ago I tried to enter Aspire lounge as *G booked in Y and lounge dragon explained they have no contract with LO any longer. Luckily Bulgarian MC World grants access.
