Air India First Class ex:US- India ~$3500

I know that Air India isn’t exactly on the top of the charts when it comes to luxury airlines but for a flight originating in US anything at this price besides BA’s “first class” is unheard of. As always posting for info if this ain’t worth it to you or Air India is a horrible airline no one asked. Looks available EOS

Air India does not have First Class, they do however have Business class cabins. Nothing to write home about!

And not only that, if the flight gets cancelled and you need a refund ( a flight they cancelled ), stand by for typical Indian bureaucracy... my flight last March ( yes 2020 ), still waiting for my refund. Same with TAP Portugal, they cancelled the flights and still waiting, flights were in August, buyer beware. Just over $5000 USD outstanding between them

That's incorrect. AI has F class. It might be similar to J class of other airlines, but it's classified as F.

Read a few AI First Class trip reports and you'll avoid AI like the plague.

Google Flights

Here is a Trip Report from Lucky... Nothing to write home about...

You can also use Qatar Qsuites from LAX for $2832 which I would talk every day of the week and twice on Sunday over Air India...

Not to speak of their very poor safety record. AI “Director of Operations” too drunk to fly his own plane. Aircraft cracks in half upon landing. And on and on.

But wouldn't the mileage earnings be great in First?

To add, their 77W and 77L have J and F as separate classes. Their 788s do not have F.

This flight is on a 777, so F is present and 1-2-1. J is 2-3-2. Overall, I would avoid. Aircraft interiors are ghastly.

I did say this was only for information, and I should note I would never buy this either.

but maybe some wealthy-ish Indian National wanted to go home on a direct flight would be happy to know this price
