What options: Expedia cancelled itinerary after BA reissued tickets

Hi
Struggling to find a solution here & hoping someone can help. I had 2 tickets KTM-DOH on 25th March, booked via expedia with BA ticket numbers. The original flights were cancelled, so BA rebooked us onto BA for 2nd April. I have just received an email from Expedia saying that they have cancelled the itinerary as the flights were cancelled. They have not noticed that the tickets were reissued. BA have confirmed that I still have tickets, but no flight entered onto the itinerary. There are now only business class seats left (originally booked in economy). BA say I need to contact Expedia to sort out (even though BA changed the tickets) but I cannot get through to Expedia as their automated screening says my itinerary was in the past and so I cant speak to anyone. Its a catch 22.
TIA

Just to confuse you more: BA don't fly Katmandu to Doha.

So if you are on a BA flight number it looks like you are on a code share on a Qatar aircraft.

Maybe there are no economy seats because Qatar has got one reserved for you, and other reserved for the other passengers on your cancelled flight?

So does that mean the catch-22 is even worse, in that there are 2 seats allocated to me (ie the cancelled itinerary) but because they are still allocated to me, the flight is showing as full?? And yes, it is BA ticketed for QR KTM-DOH, and BA codeshare (QR plane) DOH-LHR

BA have confirmed that the flights on my itinerary are still operating also

The flights might not be full. It is just that airlines are only selling the most expensive fare buckets. This is understandable as they are going through a lot of trouble and costs to repatriate people and often fly very empty flights in one of the direction.

Many pax have problems when they booked through an OTA. As both flights are operated by QR, I would strongly suggest that you contact QR. They might have your PNR in their system. You might even try first on their website.

QR will refuse to do anything (BA issued ticket sold via Exp). You need to contact and deal with Exp to have this resolved.

QR originally did try and sort it when the original flights were cancelled, but realised last minute that it was BA ticket and said contact BA. To be fair BA have said that they will try and sort despite it being an Expedia booking, especially as I cant get through to Expedia due to the catch-22 of them thinking its an old itinerary.

It all might be a moot point anyway a Nepal have just announced another 2 weeks of airport shutdown! Back to waiting for FCO to repatriate I think

I needed to talk to Expedia about a similar issue, fwiw I managed to speak to a human about a past itinerary by using the Chat thread initially. Most of the time it just said ‘all are agents are busy’ but once or twice, after starting again with the itin and selecting change/cancel booking (I think...but try all options) I got a ‘the best way for us to handle your request is with a call back’. I had two missed calls from the US in the middle of the night, tried again and had a call a few hours later which went ok.

I don’t know if the numbers that called are general Expedia numbers but PM me if interested in trying them.

I tried the Expedia callback thing, and got rung by someone from USA. He said he couldnt help as I was in UK, so transferred me to the UK number, where the whole cycle started again!
