To be honest, I should have said 'it probably is made up'!
Nonetheless, not great national coverage.

Hard-shell suitcases, guys. It's never a bad time to start using them.

Must be a slow news day.

You probably could name any airline in the article but I suggest BA don't have too many friends in the media these days.

You're right. I'm not going to be happy the next time my suitcase arrives damp at reclaim.

This has a whiff of fake news to me - with the exception of a few LGW based aircraft the entire BA fleet is containerised meaning very little need for loaders in holds and no chance of bags getting peed on.

Did you notice how some of the comments blamed immigrants? Implying that British born baggage handlers would never be that disgusting.

I saw this on FB today and bust a gut laughing.

I'm in the ground handling business. I've never seen, nor HEARD of this happening.

Would it be awesome if the airports had a port-o-potty at each gate so that we wouldn't have to go so far to go to the can? Sure, but that's not the reality.

I've worked at YVR/YEG, now granted those aren't LHR, so maybe it's an awful situation at Heathrow as far as the rampies having to go serious distance to hit the lue. Now if they have a tug/belt loader, they can speed over there and it doesn't take that long. If you're having to go on foot, sure it'd suck.

But this is insanity. Who takes their job SOOO seriously that they can't take a pee break at some point? If anyone really is doing this, they're doing it out of spite, not a lack of time.

#Fakenews

Employees making up stories to discredit their employer perhaps, not unsurprising given the current industrial relations. I wouldn't be surprised if similiar things happened with other stories on online forums, but a little shocking that a professional journalist, even one from such low-brow, has run this story.
