Did Yankees Drop CO Charter?
Are the Yankees now using DL as their charter? I couldn't find anything in my search...
I noticed their charter leaving Cleveland tonight, from Burke Lakefront Airport to Newark on a DL 752:

Well, CO was also the official airline of the NY Giants and didn't fly them around all that much. One is a marketing schtick and the other is a paid charter agreement. I'm guessing that CO had better use for the planes and DL undercut the charter bid.

Sometimes it is a little of both based on the equipment requirements of the team. For instance, it is not out of the question for the Indians to give Continental free marketing in exchange for cheaper charter contracts.
Northwest, on the other hand, had the Browns charter contract last year but was not a marketing partner. NW used 742s and 753s depending on destination and size of roster/guest list.
