Randy, LAS in the last week as eliminated the elite security line for the D gates at LAS.
This is a huge inconvenience for a large number of FTers. Apparently the airport ops people are saying its the airlines' fault (and perhaps vice versa).
Is there any influence you might be able to bring to bear, or could you perhaps look into this and see if there is anything that could be done other than writing the airport and/or airlines?
Thanks!

(No need to lock, it asks a really relevant question for advice and does not violate the TOS by accusing the volunteer Moderators of causing the end of these elite lines in LAS).
I've got a few ideas but one of the first ones that now comes to mind is using social media to attack attention to this issue.
I'd head on over to BoardingArea.com and contact a few of the bloggers over there to see if they might blog about the decision. View From the Wing, Cranky Flier and Joe Sharkey come to mind as just the right touch of input to this issue. This will start the ball rolling for some attention out there in the blogosphere and I can then follow up with further posts on some other ideas, including visiting the new TSA blog itself and adding our comments for such a rash decision.
That blog is here: http://www.tsa.gov/blog
We'll get to the airport and to the airlines, but anything like this needs a really, really broad base of complaint which is why i suggest the above as well.
More to come.....

Thank you, Randy.
It also occurs to me that the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce or whatever hotel association might be in Las Vegas would not be pleased that their guests are less likely to return to Vegas (in my opinion) given this. I wonder if any overtures there would be helpful too?

Well, i did put it up on the TSA blog (no answer yet) so we'll see. I used my real name there though it's amazing the number of anonymous posters to that blog. Gee, what are they afraid of?

Those of us who have one should probably express our displease to our casino hosts. Maybe they can exert some pressure.
Cheers,
