Four Seasons Bali or Aman???

I am planning an 8 night trip to Bali. I am torn between splitting my time at the FS properties or staying at the aman hotel (i would choose 2 and split my time).

Looking for some input.

Thanks!!!!

I would choose amankila and amandari (take Amanusa out of the choice).
Alternatively you could choose one aman and one four seasons.
One beach resort and one 'inland' resort would be a great combination for Bali.

there is LOTS of bali discussion here, i recommend doing some searches.

amankila + amandari is definitely a popular combination.

Interesting that you recomend the Amankila and then the FS not the Amandari, why?

Also we are going to be there for 9 nights we arrive the first day at noon after traveling 24 hours to ge there. How would you recomend splitting the time between the hotels. On our departure we have a 8PM flight so we have then entire day there as well

We've been to most of the Bali FS and Aman properties and wrote up a very detailed trip report on this forum. I highly recommend that you do a search for it...it's a few years old but there's lots of good info comparing the properties.

If we could do it all over again, we'd go all Aman. The trip report explains why. If you are really anxious to try both brands while there, I'd recommend FS Sayan and Amankila (in that order).

Be smart and get the most value for your money and do the Amanbali experience and use all three resorts. You belongings will be moved along with you and when you land in Bali after 24 hrs your room will be ready! The beach club at Amanusa is the best on Bali and close to the temples in the south that should be seen. It is a seamless experience and everyone at Amanresorts will know what you like before you arrive at the next resort. Amanresorts in Indonesia really do look after youu and care for you like on other!

Amankila!!! If you want golf and night life, shopping, and eating then Amanusa. Trust me you don't have to do a thing, they will pack you up and place the cloths in the same spot in each hotel. You should use all three hotels, as nothing like this exist else where in the world.

Amanusa is close to the airport so maybe that would be a good one to start with. You could get settled in and get over your jet lag.

Anybody know what thread in this forum had the pics of the Indrakila and Kilasari (Amankila) suites? 87155 is interested in seeing Indrakila and I don't have any digital pics.

Thanks, Kagehitokiri. You're a rock star!

Unfortunately, the flickr photos don't do the Indrakila justice. It only shows a limited part of the overall view and is pretty cloudy.

2 nights at Amanusa, 3 at Amandari, and finish at Amankila with 3 nights.
