wisemen failed on SQ606 yesterday

I just arrived in Seoul from Brisbane with SQ in Y.

SQ246 BNE-SIN was fantastic. Superb service although I got drunk by drinking too much singapore sling. Must admit, this is the best cocktail I ever drank. ( I actually got drunk after drinking 2 glasses, my heart was pumping. )

So here's the story, SQ606 SIN-ICN, I didn't bother to know the aircraft's registraion but it was 777-200 with wisemen.

It just didn't work for whole duration of the flight. The leading stewardess came on PA that they are doing whatever they can ( all they can do is just resetting those, they did reset for 7 times). But in the end, it just didn't work.

After pulling into the gate, SIA agents were around, distributing some real cheap-looking leather thingy where you put 2 cards as an apology which was unacceptable. This leather thingy is really in bad quality.

I would like to hear SQ FTers' opinions whether I should get compensation or not. To admit, I flew SQ so I can enjoy wisemen even SQ fare was almost similar to KE fare.

p.s : they already updated wisemen to July programmes. Really impressed.

I think I did remember compensation being better, and something like that was discussed in this forum before. However, maybe the OP of that thread was in F/J. Can't remember.

It still wasn't working properly on SQ607 when we returned from ICN-SIN yesterday. We did have some channels, but the selection was limited.

Somewhere between my august flights last year and my xmas-flights they dumbed the Singa Sling down, and it's now made from some instant mix (quite possibly this before too, but not the same one), and the Singapore Slings Ive had on recent trips have been utter garbage...

does that mean it longer comes poured from a bottle mixed with some juices??

i would be interested in the current comp for non-working IFE in light of the cost cutting environment at SQ.

You were certain that you flew the same aircraft? Anyway, I think with more computers on board, some of them inevitably fail sometimes, and AVOD needs a computer with extremely high specifications. I think its just that you were unlucky. Someone on the QF board mentioned that he/she got compensated for something similar, but he/she was in the premium cabin. I doubt SQ will give any compensation, though they might if you make some noise.

I have no idea whether it was the same aircarft. I am not interested in compensation. I was in 'the premium cabin'.

I forgot to mention the date of the flight. My flight was on 30th of June.
So yeah, he must have been in the same aircraft.
