The BA Terraces lounge is currently closed at NRT - BA pax are enjoying the grand luxury of the NWA lounge (I kid you not...)

I was quite shocked last week too, when I was told to use the NorthWorst Club. The checkin agent told me the terraces lounge had been closed end of last year. She also knew of no reason why and if it would reopen ??

I was surprised as I had missed this info on FT!

Shame BMI status won't let you use the ANA lounges when travelling outisde *A.

I certainly would NOT advise travelling NH J if BA J was an option - can't tell you how utterly disappointed I was with my recentish experience in ANA Business class - anyone who tells you that the keiseki menus in J are amazing is severely misguided - I know of several places in Tokyo and Yokohama that will give you vastly superior fare as part of a lunchtime set for about 2,000 or 2,500 yen (that's around a tenner) - and the seat wasn't that great either. Oh yes, my companions on that trip went for the western options on the menu and hardly touhed their meals - they were pretty vile. (Both BMI and AC in Business had much better nosh). Still, I don't feel hard done by - the 2xmiles plus bonus on BMI's Diamond Club were extremely welcome!!!

Does travelling Virgin with *G allow you access to *A lounges? And is the Virgin lounge worse or better than these? (I've never seen this particular theme discussed even on the Japan forum)

Is there a CX F lounge that can be used instead of NW at Narita given OW Gold status? Otherwise what about JAL or QF?

There used to be CX & AA lounges next to the BA one. However, CX & AA moved over to the other terminal so that they could be together with QF & JL in a big happy oneworld gathering (although different lounges). For some strange reason, BA aren't joining them. So to answer your question; yes, but it's no help if you're flying BA.
