Thanks for sharing your experiences with us!

However, this is what I observed from reading on this BB occasionally: Someone speculates why this or that has changed, another one heard the same from a reliable resource and after a while this speculation goes for granted.

One of the reasons why I buy the "UA hates HON" story only partly. After all, UA awards their top tier with a 100% mileage bonus, even if travelling on LH metal TATL or on LH ticket stock. So a 50% bonus which doesn't even depent on COS anymore does not sound too much to ask for .

I'd never dare to interfere with the leader of LH or any of his daughters, as Phil might confirm. Should I ever succeed in planting code into the UA serves, it would not be malicious but solely 'beneficial'. For me and my MP # that is...

What are you talking about? FTL, SEN and HON always got and still get the respective executive bonus when flying UA. Even for flying US.

... on transatlantic flights since January 1st 2003. For UA (and other *A airlines) HON and SEN is threated as *G as a UGS, PPS, SPPS, etc. is on LH (and other *A airlines).

This is what I am talking about - so why blame UA for not delivering HON miles anymore?
But I agree, my wording was a bit fuzzy.

This is what the 'TATL' stands for .
For UA (and other *A airlines) HON and SEN is threated as *G as a UGS, PPS, SPPS, etc. is on LH (and other *A airlines).
That will fuel 333's theory that UA hates LH elites - or threatens them upon this occasion - unnecessarily .
I am unfair and silly - all you say is sound and correct ^ .

Because LH managers reportedly told FTers that UA didn't want to pay for HON Circle miles.

I too am aware of the allegation .. but if that was true (not the telling of course, the concept), why then would SENs and HONs still get the elite boni?

The acronym was introduced by TFM himself AFAIK, so for once I am not to blame. And yes, I try to threaten everyone in a noble & nice manner .

Because HON status miles are more expensive than normal miles?

Nah, I just copied it from other posts here in FT. It's a standard term.
