Talking Something funny for LH Flyertalkers

for those who have such a problem with the FCT / FCL temperature, there are worse things in life, e.g. an economy middle seat:

I am afraid they really do after he did not compromise and withdrew their opportunity to award HON miles to LH customers anymore...

Don't worry, LH customers still get HON miles. ^

UA customers don't, but that's reportedly because UA refused to pay for them.

I hope the delay wasn't caused by the flight waiting for him (once again)!

He called in person and apologized... You gotta give him the kudos where he earns them...

FTers in several forums on several occasions. Typically HONs who have access to LH people who know this kind of stuff.

I don't mind you asking, but I learned that revealing delicate insider sources (that proved to be reliable in the past) hurts and doesn't help in the long run (something I learned the first day when serving, as an amateur/reserve officer, the swiss army secret service long ago ...)

Rudi, while I hope that there are some differences between the army secret service and Lufthansa, I can assure you that the company is both infiltrated by guys willing to talk to the media and especially guys simply frustrated like hell about not being promoted since years who will not miss a chance to tell you everything that goes wrong within LH.

Lots of minor problems between UAL and LH at the moment, LH took over more and more control from UAL during the last years ( * just to be steered by both with a slight upper hand by LH, now UAL is clearly in the back seat ) and UAL wants to get something back, is aggressively talking to LH volume contract companies, opens routes to the Near East just to name two recent examples.

Officially both parties are certainly married happily and enjoy sharing revenue etc. ...

Thanks, than I know, how to value these rumours.

Did these FTers also reported about partnership between LH & UA and if UA pays for the executive bonus they earn on UA flights?

Since January 1st 2003, LH and UA have been operating all flights between Europe and the USA under joint profit responsibility.
