KVS vs Expertflyer

I had KVS, and the subscription is up on it. Do you think I am better off renewing it, or switching over to Expertflyer instead?

I prefer EF to KVS. IMHO EF is better value and you can use it on any computer.

Both programs have strenghts and weaknesses; I would probably go with EF, but you may well find that you need both. Check this thread:

I'm partial to EF because of the automated e-mail/text messaging it does when a seat in a particular class opens up (e.g., R class on NW). Helps a lot when trying to mileage upgrade myself or others and there's no seats available.

I pay for both ... KVS is great when I'm at a PC that it will work on - its far faster than any web interface is going to be. On the other hand EF works anywhere I have Internet access. I'd say I tend to get on EF more than KVS overall.

Thanks for noticing .

Just wanted to add that the answer to OP's question, as always, depends on a number of variables.

There are certain things that the KVS Tool can do, but the other service can't (e.g. show availability for CO award/upgrade booking classes). On the other hand, if one needs, say, AA award/upgrade availability, the situation reverses.
