2-Class 763
I just booked a full F from lax-ord-clt and on the LAX-ORD leg it's on a 763 2-class config. I havent flown a 767 series since the 762 in late 2000. Is F service on the 763 good on the lax-ord (UA940) route? How is the meal service? the seats? audio?

It's the same as any other domestic F, though I have noticed alot more static on Channel 9.

Hmmm... two class 767 is nothing special in terms of seating. It's a domestic F product through and through. No leg rests, but bigger seats. However, there are a lot of people up there (34 when full), so the service is affected.
I have not done that route in a while, so the meal service history is probably irrelevant. There will be a meal, though, and it should be decent. (I remember a really good Chef's Salad one time... but I was famished.)
Audio is the same as every other aircraft. It will have an old-school projector in the F cabin.
It may have Empower in the seats (all 767 F seats should), so long as things are operable.
It's not a bad ride.. nicer than the 757 (imho). Just strange how small the E+ section is on these planes.

Though they're only 1" wider than the Y seats, and the legroom is only 3" more than E+. After seeing that, I'm not so disappointed our SFO-KOA upgrades haven't gone through (we have 21HJ both ways, so we'll have more legroom than F).

I'll echo the thoughts of everyone else - the 2-class 763 is a total ghetto bird. They gotta do something about these planes. It's almost 2007 for cryin out loud, I should never have to watch a projected movie - even in Y.

yeah I noticed on seat guru that F seats were narrower than normal. R they not the standard domestic F seats (as on the 733, 735, 752?)

They are very similar. There is not really a single "standard" F seat, similar to how there are not any "standard" C seats. For example, the 777 C seat is wider than the 747 C seat, which is wider than the 767 C seat.

I fly the SFO/HNL route fairly regularly which is often served by 767. My opinion is that paying to upgrade on these flights is not worth it unless you have miles to burn. Obviously if you have extra 500 milers or CR1's then it is worth it. Otherwise, E+ is nearly as good and perfectly acceptable.
