Had a pleasant LP experience over the weekend on my JFK-CDG-MAD trip.

In the JFK LPL, LPGS was on the wine list but not anywhere to be seen. The server said "oh, we do have it but it is not chilled". Seriously? What was chilled and out...

And the whole non-champagne at the gate before the door closes continues to be ridiculous, although I did come prepared this time with a travel cup from the LPL.

At CDG, AF seems to have done a good job at limiting the inconvenience of the renovations. The front right side room is complete and a nice improvement. Indeed, a very arrivals lounge look with more practical and comfortable seating, with power outlets at each seat.

Current construction is at the left front area and dining room area fronting the kitchen and the area up to the elevator down to the cars.

And the most important part of any visit.

I'm having trouble picturing those areas. Are the completed ones near the elevators down to the cars or the elevator to the terminal?

Got it on arrival a few times on a domestic flight
They are not used on departure since the automatic train downstairs linking the concourses was put in service. I don't remember when it was, but that's at least 15 years ago. On arrival with AFKL, you always get it unless you are in P.

Got it. Thanks.

I confess that I'll miss the little "window" between the sofas. I'll always have my artsy photos of the champagne glass in there. Alas, I can't seem to upload one to this post but this link tells the story.

Here’s to hoping that some of the new areas will actually have a comfortable place to work, other than the tables at the dining area …

Does that mean that the access from the car/police level is not possible through the usual elevators presently?

They are doing a good job handling the renovation. This is my 2nd time since it began and they have finished the far room as in the prior photos. It is great having outlets everywhere and the only seating I find uncomfortable are these:

So glad they got rid of the benches. Those were the worst.

I read above that AF was now providing a Spa voucher to be used in Paris as the service is not provided any longer in the lounge during renovation

How does it work ? Do we have to ask for them ?
I have a few P flights until June and my wife would be very happy to use them

Yes!!! Please.

Not everybody comes to primarily eat pasta (although admittedly it is delicious, but it‘s not the only thing why some people are in that lounge).

We definitely need a proper working area, the best solution are the „working cabins“ that LH has in its FCL and FCT. They even do full meal service to those working cabins.

I think you have to ask, as last week with a night flight ( and thus being hosted in Vestibule and not LP lounge) I was not proposed any spa voucher.
