Thanks for reply -
I believe that is only true to partner flights booked on Alaska and not via partner's site - correct me if i am wrong
else it would earn 125% of distance flown
Flying out of GMP on April 5th to LGA on 6th
Reminder of flights will be in august and December
So waiting is the key to see what Alaska announce else I can go for JAL

Just booked to EZE rt last week for $3.3k USD pp through JL website. Stopovers in TYO both ways along with US. Had to book both GMP legs in Y. Seems like JL has zeroed out a lot of the I space on that leg.

I booked GMP-HND (stopover) -DFW/JFK-MIA-GRU on AA.com and paid $1765 five days ago.

Applied a SWU on the last leg.

Where are you find the best fares?

Google flight is giving me US$ 2.2k OW GMP-GRU. Are you guys just going to JAL website and trying all dates?

Current price is around $2000 ow and $3400 rt. Your itinerary is probably repricing because there is virtually zero I availability on GMP-HND and vv, right now even with a stopover. I think that is partially because JL currently has a 737 scheduled on the route in the Winter schedule.

To keep the fare, you have to downgrade to Y on those segments but it is very hard to get any of the booking options to display that.

It is still there but one way is now $2200-2700 depending on dates and destination. I am looking at Feb/March 2027 dates. I assume it is part of an across-the-board increase with fuel prices. Not sure if it will drop if oil prices go back to what it was 2 months ago.
