lol that second light meal is just a recurring main meal dessert item (which Tbf is one of the better desserts I’ve had in QR) that’s been seemingly recycled as a light meal. Pretty pathetic for the world’s second longest flight.

estate on an early morning flight ex man in a few weeks time. Flown QR on the overnights and been impressed but have to say the menu above is probably the worst selection I’ve ever seen in business class of any airline. We will have breakfast in the lounge and look to see if we can see the economy options or as the Mrs says take something with us. Onwards to NRT with fours hours in the lounge. The NRT option is also similarly poor in choice.

I’m very annoyed with the recent cost cutting which is ridiculous considering QR J fares these days, we’re headed into the triple breakfast problem again for Asia-EU morning connections, breakfast arriving into Doha. Breakfast at the lounge. Then breakfast on morning flights to EU/UK. Last year for example on QR003 to LHR which is a morning 8AM departure arriving at mid day - both a full breakfast and full lunch is offered. Now the same flight has just got full breakfast + “light meal”. Previously I would have skipped breakfast and gone for full meal mid way and now will be forced to select one of the measly “light meal” offerings when I would have appreciated having the opportunity to have full lunch onboard heading into a busy afternoon back in London.
Honestly what on earth is the new CEO doing? Does he know such cost cuttings are utterly embarrassing? I’m a longstanding Plat and considering not bothering renewing at all.

for the case of QR003 (or other LHR flights of a similar timing), is caviar still available?

although I was annoyed the “light menu” has been reduced, especially as someone who eats zero seafood…I didn’t mind was I wasn’t hungry and comfortably waited until breakfast.
Service; hot or miss. Purser was so nice and engaging. The FA to my section was kind but kept making small mistakes; she decided to just put any olive oil and I had to ask specifically for the spicy lemon, for breakfast she has to be reminded to offer jam and also sh forgot my smoothie until I finally mentioned it.

Just traveled in J. Seats1 E/F. Left at 16:35 so we dinner. Impeccable service. Did not have time for light food as well 😊

My Doha to London flight is showing literally two measly options as a second meal for a 0740 departure arriving 14.30. I guess they won’t have any more substantial meals loaded for something that better resembles lunch?
And the 0055 flight from PKX shows a late night menu which is understandable. But been Qatar, I thought they’d still offer a full dinner service.
