Bak Kut Teh is definitely one of the most popular and comforting foods in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. The Indonesian version is more herbal where the Singaporean version is more pepper forward.

It was a nice read to follow your travel.
I had the same impression on my TK longhaul flights. Before the flights I heard only good things how great it is and then on the flight it was just medium. Sometimes the food and the crews were great but there is a lack of consistency.

Dear JapesUK thank you for a wonderful journey to places I do not think I shall ever see. an absolute delight. Maybe the CCR should invite you to do "Trip Report presentations" with a slideshow, when flights are delayed to allow you access after April.
