ATH-LHR Economy [economy basic vs economy plus]
If I buy economy Basic do I still get choice of seat and free baggage or do I have to buy the next level.
Also what happens if I use miles in coach?
Thank You

For basic you will get seat choice in line with your oweworlf status. You will not get any free baggage allowance.
For a miles booking you will get seat choice and the normal baggage allowance based on cabin & status.

Also worth remembering that with economy basic, status related luggage benefits do not apply even if op buys luggage - so if op buys basic and purchases a check bag, they will only be entitled to one bag (23kg) even if they are owe. By contrast, if they buy eco plus with luggage included and are owe, allowance would be two bags of 32kg I think.

Unfortunately this seems to be interpreted/applied as midnight UTC, which means you might need to get up in the middle of the night if you want to rebook onto early morning flight as Athens is UTC+3 in the summer... (UTC+2 during winter).
Other than that, assuming you have Oneworld Sapphire or Emerald status, the only other real benefit is that it includes 2 checked bags rather than 0 for Economy Basic.
