Reporting back.... Received AS lounge pass upon check in. I didn't end up going to the Amex lounge because I didn't feel like walking back and forth. Plenty of seats at AS. I was there right around the breakfast/lunch changeover so I saw both food options. Lunch was a salad and tortilla bar. There is an espresso bar as well. I'm not familiar with US lounges but I'd say better than most Canadian ones but I'm definitely more looking forward to the Asia/middle eastern lounges
