Are we sure about this? I know Hyatt's T&C require physically staying at least one night.

For those getting the "not eligible" message, are you logged in? I got that message at first just following the link in the first post, but after logging in the promo appeared on my dashboard as available for registration.

It's 100% normal and a feature of Marriott promos. A certain percentage of FTers can't sign up. Just call CS and ask them to register you. This should actually be outlined by Marriott in their promo T&Cs. LOL

For those who are like ElevatorEnthusiast and are serial one-nighters, 75 nights x 2,500 = 187,500 bonus points potentially.

David
it's actually 2500 points per stay not per night. Plus it's per brand... and you would only need 38 nights, but alas there are not 38 different brands. Read the promo rules again. Four people liked your comment so hopefully they aren't acting on it.

My T&Cs read:

Find more places to shine with 2500 bonus points on each stay. Plus, get 1 bonus Elite Night Credit for each brand you try.
So if one has 75 different stays during the promo period, you should get 75 X 2500 pts.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that also thinks Four Points is literally the WORST brand in the Bonvoy family.

I actually really like the extra bonus points per stay, It means that if you swap from one hotel to another every other night you can get many, many points. Admittedly it would be a bit annoyed to keep moving. Maybe rent a car and leave all the clothes in there

Even limiting just per brand with this promo (but giving double elite nights, as it was before) would had cut the numbers of Platinums or Titaniums made.
As it is, it is rather stingy, this promo!

and like others said above, It would had been a great promo... stay in all brands in 3 months to get 1 Mil miles.. that would had been a great social promo campaign..

I think, as it is, it is rather an opportunity missed.

It seems, since I won't re-qualify this year as Titanium.. after this bad promo, maybe I should just leave it to be demoted to Plat in 2027.. and see next year what to do..

and this year jump the ship ... even if to Radisson, 20 stays (or 30 nights) and get VIP with free breakfast and Lounge access..

I feel like Marriott is saying, ok, we will give you some free nights, but you’re going to have to work a bit harder for them. That means that someone who stayed 38 nights in a cheap property last year during the promo won’t hit titanium automatically.

I don’t think that is unreasonable and it gives people with less time to take extended breaks a chance. In other words, if you can only do Friday or weekend stays then you can still bag some
extra nights and points. This of course depends on location as not every place in the word has a wide variety of brands.

You work for Marriott? This is by far the worst promo ever. Who will change everyday the hotel, just to collect promo nights? No one is that stupid. For me one more reason not to book Marriott.

Bad bad bad & lame promotion, should fire the marketing team.

At least give a goal that push people to do the extra miles

for example :

When u explore 20 brands u will get XXX amount of bonus points
Exploere 30 brands u will get XXX bonus points
Explore all Marriott brands get 1 Million points .

Any Marriott insider here ???

I think that this was meant as light humour using ElevatorEnthusiast in particular, though it's unlikely to apply to many other people in the world! If you follow many of his (excellent) posts and reviews, you'll see that he does tend to change hotels every night.

A few years back, I made a spreadsheet of the average customer rating for each (or most, I couldn't get details on a few) Four Points location (in the US at least) from the Marriott website/app after reading a comment about Four Points quality and customer perception of the brand. There were some definite bright spots, but many had mediocre to even terrible ratings.
  • To be fair: 27 out of 102 properties had a rating of 4.0 or higher (Three of those were 4.5 or higher). I consider 4.0 and over to be good.
  • 50 out of 102 in the 3.5 to 3.9 range. This range (in my experience) can be mediocre but it varies. The property could simply be dated but functional, which is fine. Perhaps people think the rooms are small, but if the hotel is in midtown Manhattan what do you expect from a Fairfield? Or there could be problems with the property. In the 3.5 to 3.9 range, I peruse the specific reviews to get a feel for the property and determine whether to stay there or not. (e.g. if there are lot of complaints about the pool being closed for renovation, that's fine for me, I don't use the pool. It may matter to you though if your kids are looking forward to using the pool)
  • 20 out of 102 in the 3.0 to 3.4 range. Reviews are generally bad to get an average in this range. I would hesitate to stay here.
  • 5 out of 102 were: 2.9, 2.8, 2.8, 2.5, 2.2. (Four of these have closed, or are no longer Marriott properties. The other one has improved from 2.9 to 3.2)
