Other airlines are able to add more partners to their network which are outside OW. AY should be able to do the same.
If you mean codeshare partners, AY does offer codeshare to SGN and HAN with VN from BKK and SIN, in addition to usual suspects QR and CX. If I remember rights some years back they even had it with PG to DAD!. I agree, it would be great having direct flight from HEL to HAN or SGN, but I really won't hold my breath waiting for it to happen again.

I'm talking about going to New Zealand or Australia. There aren't many codeshare flights. And that's the point. I would love AY would add more codeshare flights or even more partner to their network were AY+ members could earn TPs and Avios.

Pre-covid, Saigon was an Aurinkomatkat destination with a once-weekly flight. I have understood that the Chinese travel to Vietnam en masse, which might contribute to the area not being the most enticing for the AM clientele.[/QUOTE]
And even worse, loads of russians, especially in Nha Trang and Phu Quoc.

Helsingin Sanomat published an article of Finnish MP:s visiting Starlux. They have discussed a possible route btw HEL-Taipei. Starlux which would like to lean towards oneworld has hinted this route earlier. It would bring connection passengers to AY if everything goes well.

Politics and business aside. A direct connection would be great. Taipei is amazing.
