It's an absolutely fine lounge for a shower and beer if nothing remotely special. The showers are 10 euros though. Enjoy paying for the shower, plebe (I've paid for it flying DE J, multiple times, because DE doesn't do arrival lounges).

I''d never pay the extra AS miles for Condor "premium" because they'll probably offer to sell it to you for $50-100 anyway.
Any idea how I can entice them to offer me an upgrade from "premium" to J?

IIRC they sell those as well but its not cheap but they do have auctions so maybe youll get lucky.

I do think it's inappropriate for AS to sell DE "Premium" redemptions alongside actual W products without some sort of disclaimer. Maybe an asterisk or some such.

Have you tried transiting FRA? It wins "annoying airport" elections by a landslide, especially bus gates.

Right up there with CDG for some of my least favourite airports to transfer.

I don't mind FRA so much. Last two trips through there were in LH J though. That may have added a rose tint to my glasses. As far as bus gates...... I really don't get the European tolerance for such nonsense.

having experienced Icelandair in Saga Class (marketed as “Business”; Sep 2023 SEA<>KEF), Condor in both PE (Jun 2023 SEA-FRA) and J (Jul 2023 FRA-SEA), and a trio of BA flights in W (Mar 2025 and Dec 2025 LHR-SEA, Nov 2025 PDX-LHR), I’ll say that the FI product is far more like W than what DE tries to pass off as W

True, they're a nuisance and an annoyance. But the opening of Terminal 3 should greatly reduce the use of bus gates in the near future.

I was in Lima earlier this month and thought, surely, now that they have a BRAND NEW AIRPORT they will no longer use buses.

Every one of my flights through Qatar (in Q Suites) seems to include a free a bus tour of the airport.

It’s annoyance, but definitely also a first world problem.

Has it been confirmed that Condor going to move from T1 to T3? I think the plan is to shut down T2 and the T2 airlines are going to move to T3 first.

I've done transit and arrivals/departures from there for a while, it's not the absolute worst but I can think of a lot of EU airports I would prefer for connections like ZRH or HEL (not an exhaustive list by any means).

Their PE product is an absolute garbage. Two, three inches of more legroom but that's about it. It's equivalent to AA's MCE on their widebody. You are literally better off with AA+BA main cabin as an Emerald imo.
It's this! Condor J is solid, but their PE is basically economy with extra legroom, very odd they market it as PE.

Try doing a EK to FZ transfer at DXB. 30 minutes on the bus going here, there and everywhere.
