Condor PE Booked With Atmos Points - Lounge Access?

Hi all,

Alaska titanium (thus OWE) here. I'm flying JFK-FRA-BER on Condor in PE soon. Booked through Alaska with Atmos points.

Will I have lounge access at JFK and FRA, or will I be slumming with the plebes? I realize Condor is not part of OW.

I'm flying back in J so I know I'll have Lufthansa lounge access at in Germany...

Danke

Unfortunately Condor does not allocate lounge access to Premium Economy bookings. However you do have the option of paying for a third party lounge at both JFK and FRA. As you pointed out Condor isnt in the One World alliance so those lounge options arent an option if you have One World status.

Lack of lounge access is a big reason I avoid the non-OW partners like Condor and Starlux.

Thanks.

Well, that stinks! I've got four hours at FRA

I actually find the starlux lounges very meh. Nice decor but food is just ok. And they use AS lounge at sfo so nothing special.

Well, beggars (award flyers) cant be choosers, but I will note that the Summit lounge passes give you access to the Alaska Lounges when flying non-OW partner airlines. Obviously wont help the OP in FRA or JFK.

Pricing for east coast to FRA to BER has been fixed as far as I can tell, which is a good news.
I, as a titanium, flew PE JFKFRA with no lounge access with AS JFK lounge closed.
Their PE product is an absolute garbage. Two, three inches of more legroom but that's about it. It's equivalent to AA's MCE on their widebody. You are literally better off with AA+BA main cabin as an Emerald imo.

You do get lounge access if flying in Business class but not in premium economy.

Correct. What DE calls "PE" is a Y+ product, not W.

The term "PE" is often interpreted loosely and for clarity it's better to use Y+ or W as appropriate.

Welp, I should have done more research before booking...

It’s basically an extended legroom coach product as far as the hard product is concerned. There are some other benefits over plain old coach, but those are more of a “fix” for ULCC Y product they have.

https://www.condor.com/us/fly-enjoy/...ul-flights.jsp

Condor isn’t’ alone in using Premium to describe their extended legroom coach product. I wonder how AS will name their current Premium Class when they introduce a real Y+ W product for longhaul.

They have a real Y+ product which they call Premium Class / Extra Comfort. What they plan to introduce is a real W product, naming unknown.

So, on that note the pay-in lounge (Priority Pass, just pay money, etc) at FRA T1 (LH/DE terminal) is landside not airside.

https://my.prioritypass.com/en-GB/lo...ra3-luxxlounge

Transit passengers must leave the transit area and go through immigration and customs to access the lounge.
It's an absolutely fine lounge for a shower and beer if nothing remotely special. The showers are 10 euros though. Enjoy paying for the shower, plebe (I've paid for it flying DE J, multiple times, because DE doesn't do arrival lounges).

I''d never pay the extra AS miles for Condor "premium" because they'll probably offer to sell it to you for $50-100 anyway.

The way AA names their hard product makes sense to me with "Premium Economy" for W and "Main Cabin Extra" for Y+ with the "Extra" signifying the "+",
