I have a 787 for FRA-MUC on 12/26. Pretty sure it was the usual A320/21 when I booked it.

Yesterday I flew on LH117's Boeing 789. The front row seats were quite decent. Admittedly, the sight of the rest of the cabin completely empty due to certification issues was rather bizarre...

Booked FRA-MUC using lifemiles in business class using lifemiles thinking I'd be in the new 787 J cabin. Was sad to see in booked into Y+ instead.

I guess I should have reviewed this thread before booking and saved 7500 by just going with a Y award

Frankly, I reckon PE is far superior to the standard European Class C. It's a shame you didn't get a front-row seat, but truth be told, I didn't even have time to close the door.

Ya definetely an upgrade over EuroBiz

Still, would have rather saved the 7500 miles and slummed it in Y for the 50min flight
