VIP Status Match from Hilton Diamond?

I have previous status match from the Club Avolta programme , it expires in Feb 2026. I've done maybe half a dozen stays and will downgrade to Premium in March.
I've loved where Ive stayed so far but unfortunately most travel has been to USA and Radisson doesn't operate there. I have however now got Hilton Diamond Status until Feb 2027.

The question is that when my VIP concludes will it be possible to match using Hilton Diamond. If so is there a "challenge" and do you retain VIP while completing the challenge.
I would obviously start a completely new account with Radisson and not try to match until I know I'm going to be able to stay close to the start of the Match

I status matched my Hilton Diamond to Club Avolta Platinum which then allowed me to status match to Radisson Rewards VIP which has now been extended to September 2027.This has been a win win for both Radisson and me because ever since my VIP Status I only stay in Radisson, Radisson BLU or Radisson RED always booking the cheapest available room and have always been upgraded to the best available suite....Best i got was a 1 bedroom penthouse suite! All this with free VIP Breakfast for two and access to their Executive Lounge where available. Overall my Radisson VIP experiences has been miles better than my Hilton Diamond experiences.
Unfortunately looks like the Hilton Diamond to Club Avolta Platinum to Radisson Rewards VIP Status match was suspended as of late 2025.

It would be interesting to understand which continent/hotels you are usually frequenting, because Radisson Exec Lounges can be a rather rare occurence depending on geography. Upgrades to suites all the time sounds rather unlikely too from my experience as long term Radisson VIP.

i have only ever accessed ONE Radisson Executive Lounge which was a FANTASTIC experience in RADISSON BLU ANCHORAGE Lagos..... Radisson Blu in London tend to upgrade you to their best suites where available.
