BA 253/252 6th December (LHR-NAS-GCM)

Hi,

BA have cancelled the GCM-NAS-GCM sectors tomorrow. I’m due to fly home tonight but debating staying another day and flying home tomorrow.

Is the likelihood the NAS-LHR sector will go ahead tomorrow or more likely to be cancelled?

TIA

I haven't looked up the stats but BA252 NAS-LHR has a poor anecdotal reputation for delays / cancellations. 36 hours delay for me a few weeks ago, with various pax from different days all grumpy and milling round the airport.

Staff at NAS were rolling eyes and bad-mouthing BA so definitely didn't seem like a one-off.

On your specific question, I don't see why the GCM hop being cancelled necessarily means the NAS-LHR will be.

Good luck!

it still shows as operating as terminator at NAS for one reason or another. Could be. Number of reasons. There is an aircraft allocated operating the BA253/252 tomorrow but the shuttle has been cancelled.

As a word of warning and heads up, previous threads have mentioned that there maybe no catering available on the 252 as there are no catering facilities available at NAS so you may get an e Mail advising you of such tomorrow. Equally with some sort of notice they may manage to return catering the Flight ex LHR though, hopefully

Presumably the shuttle was cancelled for crew related reasons?

Seems to be a troublesome route. Last Saturday’s 253 was delayed over 24 hours and its NAS-GCM-NAS sectors were cancelled 😳

Not necessarily and there is no clear indication for that, today’s service was a tad late but that wouldn’t have an impact on Crew operating the shuttle tomorrow
there may be an issue at GCM,, fingers crossed CWS Or someone in the know can shed some more light on that tomorrow

Well, it looks like BA253 is on its way to NAS so things are looking good.

Does anyone know the earliest time I can check in at NAS for a 21:30 flight?

Getting kicked out of my hotel room at 1pm so would rather go to the airport as easily as possible.

TIA

Im on the 252 tonight flipper , had 2 friends on it last night and check in desks opened at 1940 , the flight was an hour late tho so maybe that’s why the desks were slow to open , fingers crossed for a FLUB maybe tonight as the aircraft has 8 first seats

Thanks darrencobb, looks like I’ll have to find something to amuse myself in this blistering heat

I think tonight’s load will be quite low with the GCM-NAS sector being cancelled.

No chance of FLUB, the flight is empty.

as per the earlier post (post 4), you might not have any catering.

Isn’t that more likely the case when the GCM-NAS sector is cancelled at short notice?
