if the Tiers and Benefits have disappeared, I am pretty sure there will be changes to existing tiers. I see Gold requirements going up.

I think what is crucial for me is not the number of miles, but the number of A3 flights required.

The website is giving some hint on what the new tier benefits will be, from the stuff none of the tiers have now:

Free upfront/extra legroom seat selection, Business lounge and Fast Track access for friends and family (presumably more than the +1 currently or if the main member isn't travelling), a dedicated Plat team, and a free gold tier for a nominated one?

Don't disagree, but in some sense it is par for the course to say, QF P1, BA GGL, LH HON, AA CK. I expect more benefits from the stuff that the other tiers get too - especially more J class upgrade vouchers; I'm also intrigued to see how the J lounges for friends and family work - it could be quite a lucrative feature considering Plat is probably positioned at a level where there's too much flying involved in the holder's life to actually avail of all of its benefits themselves.

Details are out. Most important. For gold you will need 12 aegean flights and 18.000 miles or 72.000 miles with any airline or 32 flights with Aegean. Thats to renew it.

Does this apply to people who are currently in the middle of their year?
A bit nasty if it will apply immediately without giving people time to plan for those extra flights.

Edited to add:
Ah didn't notice the text said 2026.
That's more reasonable notice.

My 2 cents. Obviously they are trying to get rid of the golds that living outside Greece. Most people could fit a XXX-ATH-any Greek island once per year. Now that wont work for most people. The platinum is just a joke. For that money I would expect much more than free seat selection. Now the rules of the game have changed. I will wait for new routes from our experts here such as London-Athens-Thessaloniki- Kos- Thessaloniki- Athens- London

Where does the 18K miles number come from? I seem to not be able to find the above article/item online.

Actually it won't work for anybody!

The only solution would be to fly to a Greek island for a few days and do a few flights to Athens and back...that would be possible for those that can only stay in the area for a few days. Obviously they'd need to top up miles with a longhaul or other Star Alliance carriers.

For me 12 A3 flights is doable, but it would change my flying pattern, so I may look at other programmes.
