YYZ DOM MLL tonight at 1930 - despite many weather delays lounge is pretty quiet, maybe 50% or less.

Of the hot selections, tried the Kale Pesto Pasta - would not recommend.

The Beef Bulgagi doesn't look very appetizing but is actually quite tasty.

The salad bar looked like it could have used a bit of a clean-up.

If you had gone upstairs, you might have been pleasantly surprised. That line outside means fewer people inside. Yes, I imagine it can still be crowded, but when we passed through at peak time a couple of weeks ago, bypassing the massive queue, inside we found a couple dozen unoccupied seats to choose among, and minimal lines for the bar, no line for the buffet. It was nice, relatively quiet, and much better than the insane gate area.

At this point, YVR DOM MLL is basically a bus station.

I usually fly afternoons or evenings but it looks like I'll be taking the first flight to YVR soon.

In people's experiences, does the YYZ Dom MLL actually open at 5:00am sharp on Saturdays and is it worth bothering to go if I only have 30 mins before boarding starts? Or am I better off with the Caf?

Lounge generally opens on schedule. Id personally go with the cafe unless you really want a big breakfast. Elevator always adds wait time and uncertainty and the beverage and pastry options are better at the cafe.

Just got the Elite catch-up email; several MLL renovation closings and Cafes opening in the coming months:

The planned Cafes at YVR (2nd location) and at YUL Transborder are new info I think. Interesting that they're not opening another one in YYZ

Moderator note to all: as there are dedicated threads for the upcoming YUL/YHZ MLL renovations already, please take any discussion about the upcoming changes, comments on how overdue they are, etc there.

Was YYZ ever refurbished? Anyone know the plan? Mostly curious about the transborder and int'l lounges and what changes we can expect in YVR, YUL and YYZ

YYC a breeze and how MLLs should be.

Lots of room.

Great atmosphere.

Good selection of breakfast food.

Making cappuccino with signature maple leaf finish on top.

On to YVR

Despite three widebodies departing to YYZ & YUL 12:15, 13:00, and 13:05, YVR Dom wasn't all that crowded at ~11:00 yesterday.

My gut is telling me it'll be busy today since it's the last day of the long weekend.

AC211 which is delayed. In flight now.

May not head to lounge ...

Is YVR MLL a zoo or a pleasant place today?

There was a lineup when I got here, but as an SE, was able to walk right in. It is pretty full still.

Safe travels. Heading to my gate soon for my flight to YQR.
