How to view seat map
Is there a way to view seat maps in 2025? The old flight status site was taken down in 2024 and I know you can get in trouble for doing dummy searches. Seems like a stupid decision typical of AA.

No, you can't get into trouble for searches. Massive BOOKINGS that you have no intention of taking, yes. Anyway, on AA.COM seach for the itinerary you want and as each option is presented, there is a "Seats" option below the flights. Use that - shows all cabins - and long before any passenger details are entered or seats removed from inventory.

Ah thank you for the quick response! So Search, then Seats. Easy enough I suppose. Unfortunately the links from Google Flights take you a step too far...
As to the trouble part... starting a booking creates a PNR. AA once shutdown a guy for doing this too often. They claimed abuse, he claimed he was just gauging his upgrade chances (as surely we all do). I think of that lawsuit often, esp when I am checking loads close in
