Oh my that's a lot. Thinking about it more it's a daytime flight anyways and I would want to arrive in HKG (well TPE after my connection) with not a lot of energy left because it will be like 10pm by then! I guess for right now I will hold off. Thank you so much for all of the advice!

well first of all I am on flyertalk, so I am aviation nerd
I also want to spend 24 hours in AKL and then head to TPE for 3 days (yes. I know. I am crazy for flying three 13 hour flights in like 5 days but I love flying. In Feb I fly to SYD from SFO in Qantas Y to spend 24 hours in SYD and then flew back on UA in J). I was supposed to be on UA (which I used my pluspoints and was in biz, but had to change the dates so I didn't want to cancel the trip (now in coach in NZ). I land at 6am in AKL from SFO, then leave the next morning at like 10am to TPE via HKG (they didn't have the direct AKL-TPE on my new date either
)
Hopefully that makes a little sense
Happy to answer any more questions (again, thank you so much for the help).

AKL - SIN - DXB - LHR - JFK - LAX - HND - SYD - AKL is probably the craziest...
SQ, EK, EK, VA, UA, ANA, ANA, NZ
Tried to go to 'major' hubs.. missed a few but it was a good run!
But this is getting off topic.. sorry guys. Feel free to shoot me a PM!

First time attempting a OneUp Bid
I'm flying AKL-JFK late August, currently in economy and was wondering what a good bid to try secure a skycouch would be? I'm booked on my ticket alone, a current strong bid starts at $450AUD (i'm coming from melbourne to auckland first)...should I do that? Or higher?
Thanks in advance! No idea what I'm doing
