TG booking reservation number
Hello everyone,
I recently redeemed a Melbourne to Bangkok J class flight.
Is the reservation code from the Lifemiles confirmation email a TG booking reservation number?
If not, how do i go about selecting my seat ?
Thanks in advance.

You should start by visiting TGs Manage Booking page and enter the PNR code as supplied with your confirmation email / ticket from LifeMiles. This will either work fine (sometimes, though not always, the same PNR used by the booking airline is happily recognised by the operating airline), and then youll be able to select seats etc ; OR will instantly throw up an error - in which case youll need to get hold of the PNR used by TGs own system. To do this, you can try approaching either Avianca or Thai . hopefully at least one of the two will help you out.
Seems like the toughest challenge is already overcome : securing a reward seat on TG in J using LM 👍👍

Very annoying. I also could not add my middle name, but i am not worried about this.
But like you said, the most important bit was redeeming a TG J flight with LM

Thank you for your reply. The PNR from the Lifemiles did work on the TG site. But i can't select seats etc as i could not fill out "Mr" in the Title field in the Traveler Information section.

I do have a further suggestion / workaround .. omitted to mention this earlier, sorry.
In the case of some airlines (notably Turkish) the mobile app can be much more user-friendly & functional than their conventional website. No idea if you would have any more luck (specifically ref seats) where TG is concerned but worth trying to manage your booking via the app . if you havent already.
Failing that ..now that you have established that the PNR allocated by AV /LifeMiles is recognised by TG, I would call their customer support centre .. am pretty confident any decent agent will do the necessary for you.

Developer options will appear on the right side of the screen. Expand that section of the screen until you can see all of the code. Right click on the highlighted code (this is relevant to the greyed out title box), select "Edit attribute", delete the word "Disabled"
Now you can select the correct title from the dropdown.
I just did this and it worked fine and was able to select seats right after.

I too just had this issue after just successfully booking 2X TG Biz class redemptions from ARN - BKK - MNL using lifemiles (a miracle in itself, it seems!). An interesting workaround I found is as follows (need to use a chrome browser): Right click on the Title box, select "Inspect"
Developer options will appear on the right side of the screen. Expand that section of the screen until you can see all of the code. Right click on the highlighted code (this is relevant to the greyed out title box), select "Edit attribute", delete the word "Disabled"
Now you can select the correct title from the dropdown.
