Departing, of course. Forgot to mention it.
I once got upgraded to F on LH to ORD and learned the hard way that it doesn't even get you into the UC on a connecting flight in the US. Boo.

What are the Alternatives to the Polaris lounge for those flying ANA?

I'll be flying ANA in a week. Any idea what lounge ANA is using for its business class passengers inplace of the Polaris lounge?

Thanks!

Every time I have gone, they have said I could come back to the desk for as many coupons as I wanted/needed. And as of earlier this week, they were still handing out the bags.

United Clubs, per the ANA website. The same lounges UA is using for their business class passengers. See post above for extra amenities that should be available.

This was in the High B club. I think the one in the low B area (B8?) typically has a bit more variety.
There are 2 food buffets in the High B Club. The one closer to the escalator is more variety, including rice to go with the Thai chicken. The buffet closer to the bar has less items.

In the C10 lounge over the weekend (on a domestic itinerary) I noticed a bunch of folks with little black bags with the Polaris logo on it. Guessing that's something that Polaris customers get as a bit of compensation for the closed PL? What's in the bag?

A small box of two chocolates and two drink coupons for premium drinks (they will give you more if you want/need them).

In the C10 UC right.now. Had some issues getting in as my boarding pass didn't scan, although it came out of a UA check-in gizmo earlier today. They reprinted it and it worked.
Asked whether i can have more drink vouchers later and was told no. I guess it's since I'm flying with LH and since it's an award ticket, although booked on united.com. Some are more equal than others...

I wonder whether you can rinse, dry, and repeat by going to another UC. Will you get another bag?

BTW, the food options are abysmal. The saving grace is the 'free' Boston Lager and prosecco (although I think the brand was downgraded from Mionetto since my last visit).

I'm on NH111 in a couple of weeks, and it seems it will depart from high B and Polaris won't be reopened yet. Worthwhile to hike over to B6 or C10, or is B18 the way to go?

B18 is absolutely the worse UC at ORD, at least I think so. C10 is worth the walk in comparison IMO, follwed by B6.

29 April?

Sitting in the C10 lounge now, the agents told us they are hearing 29 April for the Polaris lounge reopening.

I asked at the desk today, and was also told April 29 (had not seen this thread updated with that info)

That was a pretty quick process, cant wait to see how much of a total overhaul it is, or if it is simply an expansion that could have been accomplished while keeping the Lounge open..

Use the same-day change? Or just change the ticket to April 29?
