Additionally, oddly enough, if I select the first seat, i.e. 1E, I cannot select for the second passenger 1F: only possible choice is 1A, even if 1F and 1L are not taken. I wonder if it is just a web glitch, or something related to the future configuration of First Class (travel is for December)

If it takes 2 month to renew a plane for the new LaP cabin, that means only 6 planes renewed per year, correct?
So does this mean that it will take 3 entire years for the new LaP to be on all of the 18 jets/routes that Air France has LaP on?
So it would take until almost 2029 for all of the Air France LaP cabins to have been installed? AUGGGGH!
Can someone give a more precise idea than this?

Could my thinking be correct on this? F-GZNG has been in Abu-Dhabi since 5 January. AF has also said that they will be increasing the number of aircraft with LP. Would it not make more sense to start with these aircraft...current non-P aircraft? I believe this 777W is a non LP one and it will have been in AUH for over 2 months and ready for the launch this month. It would also make sense to rotate this aircraft across all the routes from the outset to touch the widest variety of fliers. If this has already been posted, my apologies.

Every 77W in AF's fleet except for the existing P-equipped ones has gone through a refit in the past couple of years, so any P expansion is going to be with A350s (since I don't think the 330s or 772s will get P as their last hurrah and 789s seem unlikely).

Every LP staff/crew that I asked has told me not the 350 due to width.

JFK AF La Premiere ground service
Some pictures of the actual ground service at JFK.
I did not took pictures at security controls but it was very smooth as we took the shortcut (VIP one).
Decent service in the P lounge at JFK.
Night flight very short ,
All in all, I estimate the AF P price is not justified on this night route. A robust J seat is optimal.

Robust champagne offer vs the official P lounge selection in Paris

Hard core sélection to get a heavy sleep 😉

Nice red wine offer

Huge lobster portion

Cosy ambiance

Onboard menu

Short dinner

Nice cabin brightness at CDG after landing

So that's the answer regarding an increased LP footprint. If it can only be on 777s, every 777 in the fleet which doesn't already have P has either been stem-to-stern refit in the past couple of years or is set to be retired in the next few years.
