Aren't they just saying that the "from Ł650" is in October?

Just an example for the cheapest return fare currently on offer. Flights available all summer, starting from April. The 'froms' pertain to price and origin, not date.

Doesn’t that simply mean the Ł650 fare quoted is available in October (and presumably not before)?

I just tried a dummy booking for a random date in May and the direct flights are showing.

The route is new when it (re-)launches on the 1st of April. They would like to draw your attention to that new route, and to the fact that cheap(ish) fares such as the one quoted for October are being offered. If they were to advertise the higher fares currently on sale for the summer months, any potential buyers might be dissuaded from considering BA for that route, even for future bookings. A 1-7 April return is currently to be had for Ł967 in basic economy HBO, so the Ł650 October example - while clearly indicating that date - is probably better marketing while being reasonably transparent.

And I realise this makes me sound like a BA apologist which I promise I am not!

I have this one booked for May 20-26 as a BAH. So far nothing is showing that it will posponed again.
Lets see.....
The problem is if it gets postponed and i have to rebook what will happen to the BAH that is under the ntp calculation (booked before BAEC changes)

Isn't it the original ticket issue date that determines if you get historic TP treatment, any changes especially involuntary shouldn't affect earnings?

Just to let you know I was booked on the BA034 ex KUL on 30th July 2025 on a BKK-KUL-LHR cash booking with BA. First sector, MH of course. Last week this was changed from BA to QR, BKK-DOH then DOH-LHR on BA. Roughly the same times. Notified via the normal 'Important Information about your booking....'

I'm tempted to book KUL-LHR in the hopes of being moved to QR.

My thought also. Maybe they wanted to gift me a few extra tier points.. oh. wait a minute..
I actually booked this November 2024. I didn't pay much attention to the mail at first as normally it is only 10 minute adjustment to the time but then noticed the complete change. Was even able to book seat using same PNR on Qatar Website...

I'm a bit confused. BA34 is KUL-LHR. Are you saying this was cancelled and you were rebooked KUL-BKK-DOH-LHR?

Original routing; BKK-KUL-LHR. MH first sector, 2nd sector BA34
New routing: BKK-DOH-LHR.QR first sector, 2nd sector BA from Doha
