I would love to see the casper bedding given as a Admirals Club / Citi promo instead of being thrown out, and instead of the junk Citi otherwise gives.

Used airline blankets are gross! everyone realizes the blankets they distribute are USED, right?
Who wants a USED BLANKET that's been laundered a million times before being placed in a shrink wrapped plastic bag?
Yikes

I guess if youre a germaphobe it is gross. Unfortunately we are biological beings that have certain traits that are simply unavoidable.

For those who dont mind it, a blanket & pillow is certainly welcome, especially if they get cold.

I hate hot airplanes, so Id prefer it be cold and people can put on a blanket or jacket or dress warmer, vs making people suffer if its too warm.
corky likes this.

The same logic applies to hotel bedding, gym towels, etc. You can usually tell what is relatively new versus being laundered many times.

At least AA is offering something again. Are UA / DL also offering pillows and blankets?

Eh they are less gross than every other surface on an airplane. At least it's laundered before you touch it, assuming you are using a wrapped blanket.

Real question - are the hot towels one-time-use? I am not sure so always decline them

Pathogens that dont overwhelm our immune system is good for usbuilds up the immune system.so yes, bring on the used blanketie, playing in the dirt is a good thing..

I would worry more about the endocrine and hormone disruption properties of plastics that you come in contact with, that has made us less of a man than prior generations and increase cancer risks. Ie, bedding/clothes/bottled water/the actual plastic wrapping made from plastics

MIA-LAX

Not sure if this is a legacy of there being Flagship service on this route (although there isnt with the current schedule), but Im on a daytime MIA-LAX today and they provisioned what appears to be the international business pillow and blanket set.

Transcon is the right qualifier. I was recently on a LAX-ORD redeye and no pillows or blankets.

I'm taking a PHX-CLT redeye tomorrow night. Anyone know if they're providing the pillow/blanket combo on this overnight route?

Extremely unlikely from my experience.

What qualifies? Is it just the specific trans con routes, coast to coast (like my upcoming MIA/SAN flight where I'm praying a SWU will clear), certain red eyes?
