What is an Annual Choice Benefit?

Marriott Bonvoy Members who earn 50 Elite Night Credits in one calendar year can select one Annual Choice Benefit from the below options:
Marriott Bonvoy Members who earn 75 Elite Night Credits in one calendar year can choose a second Annual Choice Benefit. Members can choose from all of the options above, in addition to the two below:
Please Note:
The Elite Night Credits will be counted for the year in which the Annual Choice Benefit was earned, regardless of when the Elite Night Credits were selected as an Annual Choice Benefit.
Example: If you are eligible for Annual Choice Benefit in 2024 and select Five Elite Night credits in January 2025, the Elite Nights will count toward Elite status in 2024.

- Choose Your Favorite Mattress and save $1000 USD on your purchase of a bed from any Marriott Bonvoy retail brands
- Gift Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite Status to a family member or friend
- Support Arne M. Sorenson Hospitality Fund by donating $100 USD to champion the next generation of diverse leaders in hospitality
- Support United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) by donating $100 USD for childrens aid worldwide.
- Support World Wildlife Fund (WWF) by donating $100 USD to their global conservation work.
- Add Elite Night Credits (five) to get you closer to higher Elite Status and enhanced benefits

- Redeem one Free Night Award with a redemption value up to 40,000 Marriott Bonvoy Points
- Gift Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite Status to a family member or friend.
Please Note:
The Elite Night Credits will be counted for the year in which the Annual Choice Benefit was earned, regardless of when the Elite Night Credits were selected as an Annual Choice Benefit.
Example: If you are eligible for Annual Choice Benefit in 2024 and select Five Elite Night credits in January 2025, the Elite Nights will count toward Elite status in 2024.
Additionally,
- If you select five (5) Nightly Upgrade Awards as an Annual Choice Benefit, the NUAs will be placed in your member account within 48 hours of receiving confirmation of selection.
- If you gift Silver Elite or Gold Elite Status to a friend or family member as an Annual Choice Benefit, the receiving member's account status will be upgraded within 48 hours of receiving confirmation of selection.
- If you select the Bed Discount as an Annual Choice Benefit, the redemption code will be valid upon receiving confirmation of selection.
- If you select a Free Night Award as an Annual Choice Benefit, the certificate is credited to your account within two weeks of selection. Please note: Free Night Award is only available for Titanium Elite members and above who earn 75 Elite Night Credits in one calendar year.
- If you select five (5) Elite Night Credits as an Annual Choice Benefit, your member account will reflect the additional Elite Night Credits within 48 hours of receiving confirmation of selection.
- Elite Night Credits count toward earning both Elite Status and Lifetime Status.
- If you reach the required Elite Night Credits for Annual Choice Benefit while your account is under audit, you will only become eligible for selection once the audit is lifted.

Thank you for updating. Speculation about the anticipated 40K-point FNA extended-use demise was premature. 
It is nice to have ample redemption opportunity. What a contrast to five more NUAs at the 75-night level.
EDIT: Marriott information technology (IT) has finally "fixed" the two-year 40K FNA expiration dates, retroactively "correcting" them to expire on Wednesday, 31 December 2025.

Looks like the deadline for choosing your Choice benefits has been extended from Jan 7/25 to Feb 1/25 as reported on Loyalty Lobby.
