A great Miles and more benefit for HON is to open award space in C Class. But now with Discover taking over most holiday destinations this is totally useless.
I want to use my miles for holidays. Hardly possible anymore with Discover taking over most holiday destinations (at least the ones I usually go to).
They announced that they will bring the HON award seat booking enhancement for award seats also to Discover. But nothing yet. Another saving.
Nonstop Enhanced away.

4Y will get the remaining 6 A330 from LH this year. (Probably when the B789 arrive). The 3 A332 will be returned to the Leasing co next year. All A330 will get a new cabin in 2027, including a 1-2-1 business class.

4Y is expanding in the Nordics and adds a few southern European destinations:

Looks like Discover is taking over from LH to LCA next SS26.

I find this bizarre as this is a connection - heavy route too.

Eurowing change planes
Im set to fly Frankfurt to Calgary 4y76 euro wings on the 300. ( lovely solo seat) In my experience this is usually the 330-200 (2-2-2)
they actually have changed this plane on me before and Im thinking it will happen again
does Eurowing Discover make a habit changing plane type?

The 3 A332s each are in some form or other 2-2-2 as well.
So chances are you'll be on a flight with a 2-2-2 layout as 85% of their A330s feature that configuration.

I can’t believe my bad luck. Flying longhaul in PE booked as LH codeshare operated by 4Y. At checkin I asked about upgrade availability and they confirmed it was available. The good news stopped there, because they said eVoucher upgrades were not available for code share bookings. The duty supervisor made several calls and confirmed this. I was certain that the rule was that upgrades at checkin were always possible and the codeshare rule no longer applies. I called the SEN line but they confirmed what the airline told me.
Did I just imagine this day of departure relaxation of codeshare restrictions, or is 4Y just being extra restrictive? If it is the former it reinforces my rule to never book codeshares, if it is the latter I know not to expect any better treatment because 4Y is part of the LH group (which I had hoped for at time of booking), and thus avoid them like the plague.

Looks like the 4 ex-Phillipine Airlines A359s in the Lufthansa mainline feet are moving to Discover:
https://www.aero.de/news-50948/Lufth...es-weiter.html
and with that move another couple of mainline Lufthansa destinations will likely move to 4Y. The end of LH mainline service at the likes of GIG?

Considering that two of them will move in 2027 and another two in 2028 I think there will be a lot of water flowing under the bridge before we know where 4Y will fly them. My guess is they will replace the older A330 in the fleet first.

The all aisle access retrofit for 4Y's A330 was announced today:

Similar to Edelweiss the first row will be a suite. Retrofit starts in 2027 and is expected to be completed in mid 2028.
