BA’s worst route / flight….

I’ll start:

BA8 Tokyo Haneda to LHR. A 14 hour daytime flight leaving at 09.35.

Lights off and windows blacked out for 10+ hours (although there’s nothing to see as it’s dark over the Pacific and Canada for most of the flight).

Lunch at 11am then no service whatsoever in J for the next 10 hours until the light meal 2 hours before landing. If you wanted a drink you had to go to the gallery.

I can’t think of a more miserable flight I have taken but I’m sure there is worse. Suggestions here for the worst BA flight / route.

8 Hr night flight MCO - LGW seat belt light left on the entire flight, 0 turbalance (Maybe the Pilot forgot!) i was surved Tea & Coffee in the same cup at the sametime. FA looked very old! (might have been the recycled awful hot stuff heater of 777 drying the FA out!) Beef had more fat on it then meat. (must have been a very unhappy cow)

All AMS arrivals on the Polderbaan when the taxi and walk to customs is longer than the flight itself.

The upcoming red eye to Tbilisi must easily qualify, along with the other narrowbody flights at horrific times.

The very late departures from Dubai are pretty bad. No chance of any sleep really, 2am schedule and often late is horrible.

Why no chance of sleep? I haven’t done Dubai at that time but done Doha and got another coming up and find them similar to east coast red eyes - don’t have a meal just a night cap and off to sleep. Ok you won’t have a full night’s worth but it’s definitely not the worst of schedules in my view.

I can't really comment. On any long haul in CW I sleep most of the time, regardless of tie of day/night. Probably an age thing.

I love the 2am departures from DXB. You’re afforded a full extra day in DXB at no cost

We are planning a trip to Japan next year, and have been clear from the outset that it will be a Japanese carrier taking us there, not BA. The stories from that route with BA are pretty damning.

BA’s worst route / flight….

LHR-EDI
EDI-LHR
LHR-JFK
JFK-LHR

Just far too many Group 0's who clog up the pre-boarding and podium area

Mauritius - LGW

Mine was MRU-LGW in J 12 hour daytime flight left 0800 arrived 4PM ish.

Served a not even full breakfast immediately after take off. Person next to me declined breakfast and crew said "Are you sure there's nothing else for many hours". We were served a light meal just before landing and there was nothing in what they used to call the club kitchen. Crew came out with water in plastic cups but other than that nothing pro actively offered for 9 hours of daylight flight

I joined many others in politely complaining to the cabin manager that we would like some lunch. She responded by bringing out the leftover cerials from breakfast and that was our 1PM lunch

Given the outdated IFE and not wanting to sleep because we had just got up it was a miserable flight. I commented to customer services and the response was that's what we offer on this flight

No way would I do the EZE route in WT especially with the stop in Brazil. Gives me the shivers just thinking about it.
