I have a related question about online purchases.

Does anyone know if an online restaurant pickup order (e.g. Chipotle online order) transaction triggers the "Credit Card - Card Not Present Spending Alerts" email, will that transaction count for both the Gas/Groceries/Restaurant (GGR) spending requirement AND the online spending requirement (2 different offers that I currently have on my Sears TYP card)?

Thanks.

Yeah, all of the Citi offers stack on both SYW and TYP cards. If it is "online" and also "restaurant" it will count for both offers. Same with things like online grocery ordering or online utility payments (as long as they code as "online").

I received a replacement Sears ThankYou Mastercard in the mail, but can't see what changed.

My current card expires in 2026 (2 years from now), so this is quite early for a replacement card due to expiration date (the new card has 2029 expiration date).

I did not request a replacement card, and have not been having any problems using the card that I have (tap-to-pay and chip both work fine).

I am trying to figure out why a replacement card was sent out when nothing seemingly changed. Anyone have a similar experience?

I got new TYP replacement cards today as well... Looking closely I see the word WORLD added and my expiration and CVC's changed but old cards werent due to expire until 11/27..(same numbers) Guess Ive been upgraded to world MC also..I did not get a nice benefit pamplet and have TYP card so hoping the price protection is active on mine like the poster above... Member since '04 although they changed my cards long time number in the past year and split users to 2 separate cards with new numbers...

So I did a test payment to comcast for the 5% utilities promo (cable) and it didnt post to the promo tracker.. I checked the details and heres what it says:MERCHANT CATEGORYRestaurants-CABLE,SATELLITE,PAY TV/RADIO SERVICES

Not sure whats on the menu but if works for GGR ill take it...

What is everyone elses experience with square posting as GGR when it says its classed as restaurants? (more and more places are using square).. In the past Ive had a hard time with square giving credit correctly and have been burned by it but without it Id lose my $2k threshold this month...

First off I have the TYP card. They must be putting more effort into this bc it seems they show up more then in past years... In my experience- its only available if you activated the offer via a snail mail code or directly on the sears website.. Theres also no guarantee it tracks anything or tracks correctly.. some track-- some just show the offer as activated...I have 4/5 offers showing and only 2 are tracking. If you click a link in an email to activate and it says "offer activated" it wont show up... If it does show up its on sears.com under the offers tab. GGR is not tracked on mine but shows as activated. Tracked offers are 5x utilities and 10x travel and ent.. Online spend offer does not show.

Thanks.
3 of 4 offers have been through email links.
Two of them , the GGR and the utilities , do show activated on the credit card side. The online spend does not.

The fourth offer, sent snail mail when they sent me the unexpected replacement card a few weeks ago, does not show.

My old and new cards are exactly the same. Both World, both have contactless. Same numbers, different expiration and CVV. This is not the first time they do it.

Disregard "Restaurants", it's just a mistake. The category is CABLE,SATELLITE,PAY TV/RADIO SERVICES. This will count as utilities.

It was adding "Restaurants" to multiple categories, this is just a coding mistake.

Sears/ Citi make a mistake? Never... I'll file this data for later. Tracker did update the additional $20 under utilities today so confirmed for utilities on my end as well... 8/27 purchase-- 8/29 post-- 8/30 tracker updated

Activate your offer to earn up to 4,000 Bonus ThankYou® Points this month when you make eligible utilities purchases with your Sears Mastercard®.1 See offer details below.

Don’t let time run out on this month’s chance to earn points!

Spend $400 or more each month on total eligible utilities purchases made with your Sears Mastercard from 08/01/2024 (or the date you activate this offer, whichever is later) through 10/31/2024 to earn 5X Bonus ThankYou Points (up to a maximum total of 4,000 Bonus ThankYou Points each month for this offer).1

Not sure why they're calling this 5x when spend $400 get 4000 TYP is 10x. Just came today, seems to have started Aug 1, I could have used it for all three months. Will get two though.
