It was all fun and games until I came across "Good for travel Mondays through Thursday from January 10February 15, 2023".

The flights I'm interested have no good seats left for a couple unless you want to sit near the bathrooms. Too late in the year for this to be exciting.

I guess that confirms that there is no good reason to run a real BF sale.

Sure is a short travel window. Was hoping it would at least go into March.

Wow, one I can actually use! I never imagined I'd get 10% off on flights to the Superbowl (2/10-2/14 trip), but this works perfectly. It'll be the only discount I get that weekend, so I'll take it.

FYI, unlike some previous discount codes, it does not work for F, just Y.

I have a flight that works, but already used a GGU to upgrade. Would save ~$60 to refare the flight, currently only 2 seats F booked, so decent chance of an upgrade (if additional U space is not released), does not feel like it is worth the risk / hassle for a ~5 hour flight.

I wouldn't risk the upgrade. It would be worth the $60 to me to remain assured of it. Hawaii flights are bleak for upgrades and I say that as currently a 100K flyer.

Agreed - They run a lot of the 737-8s with only 12 FC seats and seem to sell a lot of them prior to the upgrade window. I'd say on average there are 2 seats open. I'm 100K and my % is probably 50/50 for the year. Although I do usually make pretty last-minute plans and end up at the back of the 100K "herd."

So Alaska has too much island capacity to start 2023.

We're going at end of March. Looks like third daily SEA - KOA is going to stick this year

Saved a few dollars with this sale (both the general 10% and the 30% HI discount). How easy are premium class upgrades from HI as MVPG? Don't expect F upgrade but would be nice to get into premium.

Premium upgrades are plentiful. The HI routes are elite-lite and heavy on leisure flyers.

It's very flight-specific and variable. I regularly book last minute as a 100K and can usually get PC window/aisle. Sometimes all I can get is an exit row and if I can't at least make PC or rear exit aisle/window will find another flight.. It's rare to have no availability in PC but pretty common for the only availability to be middle seats. What route are you looking at and I might be able to give you more accurate info from my experiences (+/- 20 west coast to/from Hawaii flights in 2022)?

Cancelled and rebooked 4 transcon trips in Jan/Feb (all cheap G fare buckets). Nevetheless, 10% code generated over $100 in savings.

As a 75k, soon to be MVPG, I check the premium upgrade fare, which can be the same or a few $19's more than main cabin. Well worth the cost, often puts you in to a slightly higher fare bucket, helpful when there is competition for F upgrades.
