Wow this sounds good. There are a number of luxury properties there along the Mayan Riviera. I will give them a few months to get the hotel running well and maybe try it out in the spring.

The 79-room luxury boutique hotel will be nestled next to one of the island’s most renowned golf courses, Santa Ponsa Golf, on the site of the existing Santa Ponsa Country Club.

This is going to be the first IHG hotel in the Balearic Islands. It's a tough region for any international hotel chain, due to strong local competition.

Yes I've been to Palma a couple of times on business and could not find any chain hotel other than Melia.

Almost the same for the Canary islands, except Marriott has a couple properties on Tenerife. No IHG.

There are certainly two Six Senses planned in Italy - Antognolla and Rome.

That's if you're looking for those chains! IHG isn't weak in France, Germany, Spain, etc if you're looking at CPs, Indigos, HIs - which is more than enough for most people!

I disagree. British chain H10 has several dazzling properties in both locations, Balearics and Gran Canarias.

That's a Spanish chain that focuses on Spanish islands and tourism hotels.
