The irony of the thread title just increases.
Don't forget to thank UA for increasing UC annual rates this year!

Best United Club at EWR?
That would be the one in Terminal A.
Not sure what else has to be discussed.

If it makes you feel any better there is an excellent SEN lounge and an acceptable SK lounge in Terminal B accessible to all UA*G travellers travelling on any itinerary (including UA Domestic). Depending on who you befriend at the bus gate, you might even be able to access it without going through security in Terminal B.
I'd gather that most of our schedules prevent us from being able to do the EWR security shuffle twice. They make it really hard for us to use UA*G at EWR!
I'm writing in to Customer Care suggesting this and hope yall do the same ^
EDIT: Here's a draft you can copy & paste if you'd like:
I wonder what Oscar or Kirby would say if they visited EWR United Clubs and saw just how crowded they really are?
And this is before one of the two pop-up United Clubs (which have been there for years) closes for the new United Club being built.
There is not enough capacity in the remaining United Clubs for everyone as it is. Could you imagine how it would be during construction time?
During the time frame of construction, United should either open another pop-up or at least allow Star Alliance Gold members to go to the lounges at terminal B (if Star Alliance Gold status means anything).

"Hmm, looks like it's crowded, so I could cut food and beverage items and they'll still pour in like suckers. Oh, and wait; there's ONE empty seat I see. Wonder if I could go outside and sell it to someone with a lifetime pass?"
Oscar would say:

My observation is strictly competitive in nature. If United fancies itself the carrier of choice in the region, its lounges at a "flagship" hub are woefully inadequate in every way. At this rate, T1 will open before a new, permanent United Club in Terminal C.

With the C124 pop-up closing anytime now (still open as of 11/9), the C93 pop-up could be a squeeze for absorbing C124 and some of C72's overcapacity. It's laid out better than C124 and I could see myself residing here instead of C74. I went in early afternoon and it was almost completely empty. There were at least 20 more seats behind where I photographed.
An agent at this pop-up told me they ARE going to put another pop-up UC, but they don't know where or when. But I guess it's safe to say somewhere in C3 or C2, and in (late) 2020

Its still there and open. I was returning from Shanghai yesterday and poked my head in, as my connecting flight was out of gate 127, and the receptionist looked at my boarding pass and said go to the Polaris lounge, you dont want to be here, we dont even have a bathroom. The food and wine selection in the Polaris lounge is better than anything else in Terminal C, including the Classified restaurant, IMHO.

Are they accepting one time passes at any of the locations still?
I have a flight arriving at terminal B, and departing from C, total layover 4 hours. I think I have some time to make it to terminal A to use one day pass

I haven't heard anything lately, but assume you will be fine using a one-time pass at EWR Terminal A. It doesn't get THAT busy (Compared to the C clubs).

Have a ~7 hour layover in EWR flying United, arrival and departure both in C terminal. Have two free UC passes. Worth heading over to UC in A or take my chances in C74?
