Are there ever July 4th fireworks overseas?

I know it's American Independence Day, but many cities around the world hold festivities (most likely for expats). Cities like Paris and Sydney, for example, hold events. I was just wondering if anyone knows of cities that have July 4th fireworks around the world? Seems like a weird question, but since there are parties, maybe there are fireworks?

I've never heard of any. But there are some great fireworks celebrations on other dates.

Why would, say, the UK hold fireworks for US Independence Day? Not even Canada does this for its neighbour. US Independence Day is nothing to the rest of the world.

Conversely, does the US hold fireworks to celebrate China National Day on October 1st? Or fireworks on August 15th for India Independence Day?

Having been an expat for many decades, I'm no longer surprised when (some) newly arrived US expats don't realise the world doesn't celebrate US Thanksgiving. There'll be some restaurants happy to cash in, but there won't be a parade - and certainly not a public holiday weekend!

Detroit and Windsor have celebrated Independence Day (July 4) and Canada Day (July 1) together for decades as the International Freedom Festival. They do a joint fireworks show on the Detroit River.

Traditionally, Geneva's a party with fireworks on the 4th of July. In addition, there are firework displays on Lake Como, IIRC organized by one of the major luxury hotels [hold a] country-club like dinner and dance.

Oslo, Norway
Norway is home to the American Coordinating Council of Norway (ACCN), which is intended to "further American-Norwegian relations," so it's no surprise that the country has its own festivities to celebrate America's Independence Day. This Fourth of July marks the 31st annual American Independence Day festivities in Oslo,
London, England
Celebrate the Fourth of July in true patriotic style in London (yes, we understand the irony of that). Visit Benjamin Franklin's former home, where he lived for 16 years between 1757 and 1775. There will be a lunchtime party featuring glasses of champagne and cake to mark the holiday,
New Ross, Ireland
The town of New Ross, located in southeast Ireland, hosts a yearly Irish America day to celebrate the Fourth of July. This year's event will begin with "a reading of the Declaration of Independence" and will include a Boston Tea Party re-enactment, BBQs at several local establishments, and a giant fireworks display,
Rebild, Denmark
The city of Rebild in Denmark has been celebrating the Fourth of July since 1912, and since then, thousands of people have attended Independence Day festivities in the city. The celebration is meant to be "a token of gratitude toward the country that greeted more than 300,000 Danish immigrants with open arms,"
Singapore
If you're going to be spending the Fourth of July in Shanghai, China — a city filled with American expats — you may want to pack your cowboy boots. The mega-metropolis has been known to celebrate Fourth of July with Texan-themed festivities
Sydney
the Sydney Expat Americans throw what the group claims to be the largest Fourth of July American Independence Day Party in the Southern Hemisphere.
Paris
Paris enjoys celebrating its American expats. If you don't attend the Independence Day Summer Party hosted by Expats Paris (the event announcement encourages attendees to "throw on your best American flag-inspired outfit" for some "stellar drinks and free finger food"), try visiting Harry's New York Bar.
Etc.

You mean like the celebration in Chicago? Don't know if they have fireworks.

Upcoming National Day celebrated in Chinatown of Chicago

Or NY Chinatown and the Empire State Building?

Etc.

One of my most special and memorable 4th of Julys was spent in France, but not because of a party or fireworks. We spent the morning at a WWII Labor Camp and the afternoon at a WWII cemetery. At the cemetery I found the grave of someone who was killed the day my grandfather was shot. It was a stark reminder of the true meaning of the holiday.

Years ago an US aircraft carrier came into Cannes France over 4 July. The city put on a great fireworks show. We watched from the bay (after doing a night dive), which was great. 10 days later we watched fireworks from shore.

I've seen fireworks for the Fourth in the Riviera, around Antibes/Cannes, near Nice.

Funny.

In San Francisco Chinatown, China means Republic of China (Taiwan), not the People's Republic of China. There are full of Republic of China flags.

US Overseas Military bases will always do something for the 4th. Always a decent fireworks show from Yongsan in Seoul and this will probably be the last one since everything has moved down to Pyeongtaek.

London does have various events and fireworks for US Independence day. It also has an official celebration for other national holidays e.g. Trafalgar Square hosts a big Canada Day celebration every year. It's a global world city with expats from every part of the world.
