Consolidated "Renting at DFW; What Kind of Cars to Expect?" Thread
I booked a PCAR at DFW for a 3am pick-up a week ago Friday and was assigned a specific stall (a Q50 3.0L, a ride I generally like, so I didn't change).
Premium Upgrades consisted of a Q50 3.0L, an Audi A3, and a Mercedes C250.
PC consisted of Camrys, Sonatas (including a Sonata Hybrid, which I might have been interested in trying that one out, but I didn't notice it until I just looked at my photos), a Sentra, and several other various cars and SUVs of various levels of not-too-excitement and a QX80 that I assume was part of the PC selection.
5* had Sonatas, a Jeep Cherokee, a 200, and a few others.
Gold was a mostly Corollas and not a ton else of interest.
Report isn't exact because my pictures were just quick snaps from not-great angles...and it was 3am and I wanted to get to sleep.
Correct. But Gold Choice was the same way and, for that matter, so is National's Emerald Club set-up (at non-gated locations where keys cannot be left in cars, everything is standard counter service.

DFW on a Friday night, about 18 cars, about 10 of them were Camrys and Maximas/Altimas. There was one infiniti q50, 2 Buicks, a Ford pickup truck!, a Ford Fusion hybrid, 2 Toyota Avalons and a Cadillac xts. No SUVs. We took the Cadillac.

Got to the Hertz PC at DFW and found the lot was empty last Thursday. Talked to the agent there and he said they had a run on cars that morning (Some 300 reservations that day). There were one or two Chrysler 300's sitting there but they weren't the Sport versions there was also a minivan, so I waited to see what showed up. It didn't take long before one of their drivers brought a brand new 2019 Dodge Charger GT to the deck. He pulled up and looked at me, I nodded my head yes. He popped the trunk for me got out and said enjoy. I loaded my luggage sat down and noted that the car had 159 miles on it. What a treat!
Thank you Hertz!

DFW
Reserved: Intermediate
Got: 2019 Chrysler 300S with ~1200 miles on it.
It was parked next to the "Premiums" but still on the PC side of the divider and didn't have the keys in it. I asked the agent who was working the lot about it and he located the keys in the office for me.
It''s a nice car in a hideous shade of battleship grey. Why Chrysler would paint anything this color is beyond me.
