what a joke ... no ETKT receipts today on United.com ... for none of my upcoming reservations.
What a joke of a website

As of today, the issue where I cannot stay logged in for more than one pageload seems fixed. I can now search and book tickets without using Private mode in Firefox ^

Has anyone else had difficulty booking international award travel on UA's site the last few days? Every time I attempt to book, availability appears, then when I continue with the selection, I get an error message(s) advising to contact UA's 800 number to book or to try again.....
I have been unable to book flights on United.com for the last 2 days. Every time I search for flights, I get an error message, sometimes before and sometimes after the initial list of results appears. I have already updated my security settings, so that should not be preventing me from booking flights. Has anyone else had this problem? Have you found a good workaround that does not involve calling them?
Very, very frustrating.

So if you're using the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge, and are happy with it, there's no need to switch. The problems are intermittent, so switching may make it seem that switching fixed the problem, when in reality the glitch just stopped glitching temporarily.
Tossing your UA cookies (so to speak) is also a good practice from time to time.
Cheers,

Logged in seems successful but the current reservations do not show up.
Tried to go to Account Page and the website immediately kicked me out. This has happened to both my account and husband's account. I was able to make 2 reservations around 2pm EST which I need to call to exchange a refundable ticket to the new reservation because the website keeps errored out when I tried to change the existing reservation.
Now could not even see Manage Reservation. plugged in single reservation PNR would still bring up reservation but apparently not being logged once go pass the Home screen.

Finally updated my security questions today. No clue what I answered so saved a screenshot. Who decided that pre filled answers made sense? On the question, what is my favorite ice cream flavor? What if I have 2 favorites??

I was disappointed because they had all sorts of crazy favorite pizza toppings, like Buffalo chicken wing, and yet they didn't have the classic topping of anchovies.

Looks like UAL.com is up again. About an hour ago it would not load at all, just stayed on previous web page.
Trying to connect from California, now able to get to web site.

How are people's experiences with web support lately?
Last time I called web support was 8 or 9 months ago. The first agent was inexperience (or incompetent). I had to insist that he needed to get supervisor or support desk if he did not know what to do.
This evening I had to call web support to do flight changes on 2 refundable tickets. First agent wanted to get me pay for the new flights with CC even after I told him I needed to change flights on an existing refundable ticket but the website kept erroring out.
Then when he finally finished the first ticket and proceeded to do the 2nd ticket, the call was disconnected.
I called an hour later this time got a girl that was even more clueless.
It used to be the Philippine call center web support reps are generally more helpful and more competent than the general US agents (UA Kettle so I only get the general agents). Tonight's experiences are very poor. It seems the knowledge level has gone downhill big time.

Here's a new one. Checking flight status and it returns:
We were not able to find any available seats meeting your requirements.

Moderator Note
This thread, which originally was intended to document and track site outages has started to blend with discussions of functionality issues and a existing thread on the "beta" & "Next steps for the new united.com (post your comments, questions and concerns here)". This later thread has been renamed Functionality issues/questions with "New" (Fall 2015) United.com and is the best place of the functionality issues. Will move recent functionality discussion to the Functionality thread. That is no need to have the same discussion occur simultaneously in two threads.
Let's return this thread to outages and access issues.

Taking the Moderator hat off for a moment -- the re-occurring blaming of issues on the pre-merger entities is really quite pointless as we are 5 years post-integration. The teams have been sufficiently scrambled. While certain philosophies have obliviously been carried forward, the blame or defending the pre-merger entities is of little use to present travelers, their issues / questions / concerns are today and in todays competitive environment, not in a world of 5+ years ago.

United.com just went TU (dead).
Started OLCI and got to the "anyone under 2" question and then it failed with an access denied error. Went back to United.com and now even that gives access denied. Tried multiple browsers, some with no cookies enabled.
She's dead as a door nail right now.
Access Denied

FYI - mobile.united.com AND the mobile app are all dead as well. Good job United. Complete & utter 100% failure right now. I wonder if ops is having issues as well and all the computer systems went down.
