That happened to me as well. Still a MasterCard. Weren't they going to switch all of us to Visa automagically? Is that still happening?

I specifically told the Chase phone agent I spoke to when I had my PP replaced that I wanted a Visa and not an MC, and I got a Visa. Works just fine with Apple Pay as well.

Call Chase and tell them you would like them to replace your MasterCard with a Visa.

They will charge you $25 more per year and you will lose your Avis club privileges (which expires at the end of the year anyway).

You also lose the Flex points, which for some is worth more than the apple pay advantages.

I think there is some confusion in the last 2 posts about converting to Visa. If you convert to a Presidential Plus Visa, you do not lose benefits such as FPQMs. Converting to Mileage Plus Club card is a different story and then the fee may change.

No confusion in my post.

You will be charged $25 more per year for the Visa and lose Avis benefits immediately.

Anyone know if you do nothing...will they automagically convert you at some point? Or is it completely opt in? IMO Apple pay isn't worth the hassle of changing all of my autopay accounts... but if they are going to force-change me in 2 months... I'll just do it now.

I don't think you'll ever be automatically converted from MasterCard to Visa. I think MasterCard would have a big problem with that. I don't want to convert and I just received my chip-enabled PPMC so I'm pretty sure they're not going to change me over against my will.

Well, I just got the new chip enabled PPMC, and it had a new expiration date, and CCV. So I had to update all the autopay accounts anyway.

I can confirm my PP Visa renewed at $395 and that I still have Avis President's Club 4 months after converting my card to a Visa from MC.

Ditto- anyone with any updated info on Apple Pay for Pres Plus Bus Card?- Chase told me months ago this would be done by end of 2015. I'm thinking that if not done by now, perhaps not ever doing it. For those who requested switch to Visa card, any problems?

I suspect this is an issue of "We have x legacy Mastercard customers. It will cost y to add ApplePay to our system. The LTV of X < Y. Hope they don't mind, too much."

For me the big question: when Costco shifts to visa, will they also accept my PP MasterCard? Already it is the only reason I'd ever spend money on my Amex Plat, aside from giveaways like the $200 airline fee and SmallBusiness.

Enjoying my Chase Visa with Apple Pay. I would recommend everyone who wants the Apple Pay to call and ask to get you Master Card replaced with the Visa, as I did.

Costco says they will only accept the Costco issued Visa and not any Visa card.
